Abstract
マーケティング会社が作成しているHomescanの支出データと、家計簿ベースの家計調査、および記憶ベースのパネルデータを比較し、Homescanベースの支出データにどのような特徴があるか考察した。また、Homescanが日次の数年間にわたるパネルデータであることを利用し、家計消費データの時系列的特徴も分析した。その結果、Homescanによる支出データは、イギリスにおける先行研究と同様に、25%から30%程度、家計簿ベースのデータと比較し水準は低いが、支出の年齢や就業状態等への依存パターンや変動係数は家計簿ベースのデータとほぼ同じであることがわかった。時系列情報を利用した分析では、(1)支出の季節性変動パターンは家計間で大きく異なること、および(2)月次支出データの変動は恒常所得モデルが想定しているよりも大きいが、年次支出データは非常に安定しており、恒常所得モデルと整合的な性質を有することが明らかになった。
