Abstract
本稿では電子書籍の普及を図るために導入が検討されていた著作隣接権の効果について経済学的な分析を行った。出版社に対して、著作権に準ずる著作隣接権を付与した場合、出版社も著作権者と同様に、電子書籍配信業者に対してライセンス契約を求めることが可能になる。本稿ではこの効果に着目して、簡易な経済理論モデルを構築し、現行制度下での均衡と比較を行った。本稿で得られる結論は以下の通りである。まず、著作隣接権を出版社に与えることによって、社会厚生が改善する領域が存在するが、その領域では電子書籍の需要と著作者利潤は減少していることが示せる。次に、電子出版権について考えた場合、社会厚生上は出版社に出版権を一括管理させるよりも、別建て型を採用し著作者に管理させた方が望ましいことが示せた。
