Abstract
コンピテンス概念は複数の学術分野で使われてる。しかし分野横断的な整理はなされてこなかったため、本稿はこれら概念の把握を試みた。研究資金と論文等を分析した結果、心理、経営、看護、教育の4分野が、コンピテンス概念が用いられている分野の上位に位置づくことが示された。文献調査の結果、まず心理学で同概念が導入・発展し、それが、経営学と教育学に普及し、経営学から看護学にもたらさられたことが分かった。また全4分野で、コンピテンスの定義が定まっていないことが明らかとなった。概念をめぐる議論において対立軸となるのは、卓越および基礎のどちらの人材をモデルとするのか、コンピテンスは包括的なのか要素分解可能なのか、文脈依存なのか、などである。特徴的な分野間の差異は、経営学においてのみ、個人（人事評価や管理）に加えて、組織（経営戦略）を対象とする点である。
